The 9th Annual Race for the Arts Celebration of Young Artists was held at the John Prince Park Center Drive Pavilion in beautiful Lake Worth, Florida on Saturday, May 8th 2009. Attendees enjoyed music and artwork provided by the children in Palm Beach County schools. It was a HOT one, 77° at 4:30AM, but runners and walkers came out in high numbers!!

SUCCESS! New this year... Kids Make Your Mom Proud 1 Miler was a great success, with over 40 children registered to run! Each register child received a
t-shirt and a medal!
The youngest runner 2 years old!!! And she wasn't the last one to cross the finish line!! We hope to see her for many years to come!!

The Race for the Arts is a 5K run to support the Arts programs in Palm Beach County Schools and to celebrate Arts opportunities our students have in Palm Beach County. All money raised will go directly to Arts programs and our youth.
